If you’re using an earlier version of Inkscape that doesn’t yet have the Save Template feature, you can simply navigate to C: > Program Files > Inkscape > Share > Templates, and copy and paste all of the files into that folder. This is assuming you’re using Inkscape version 1.0 or later. Like I mentioned earlier, all you have to do is open one of these files with Inkscape, then go to File > Save Template. Please get in touch via email if you need more explantation or links to our YouTube tutorials. The templates can be downloaded here: inkscape-templates.zip Then you will get a line as you are expecting, the stroke of which you can vary as required. Hi, it sounds like all your problems can be solved by simply turning off the fill for the paths you are drawing. Why isn’t there just a normal paint brush? I want to make a nice drawing with this, but i guess I’ll have to go into a different, FREE drawing app i have and make a drawing that is better than anything I could ever make in this app, which WASN’T free! Give me a normal brush, and I’ll give you an extra star. And that’s inconvenient, and a tad difficult. I can’t make a curvy line without it turning out super weird, and then having to go erasing parts of it until it is a thin line. If I were to draw a circle, it would fill the circle in automatically.I don’t want it to do that! Not unless I tell it to. well, here is an example of how it works. The vector feature thing certainly is useful, but. I took over development because my wife Lindsay uses Inkpad and I wanted to ensure the continued development and support of a product we and others enjoy so much. Inkpad was originally created by Steve Sprang in 2011, but it disappeared from the App Store in 2015. Please visit our website to see more of their artwork and for links to their portfolios. Thank you to Martin Coffey, Rita Flores, Yve Müller, Armin Popp, David Rivera, Nicolas Saez, Erick Villagomez, Felipe Villela and Jason Wray for contributing artwork to the ‘Designed with Inkpad’ app preview video and screenshots. “If you used to work with Inkpad in the past you should get this app to continue working with it.” “Thank you guys, I use this app all the time.” This is the app that Adobe Draw should be.” “Inkpad is my main vector design tool for mobile. It covers the essentials perfectly and the developers are very responsive to questions.” “I love this vector drawing app for its easy-to-use interface and pared-down tool bar. Especially nice with the iPad Pro with Apple Pencil.” “If you’ve worked with Illustrator or Inkscape, this is the vector drawing app to download for your iPad. Inkpad is just the right balance of enough power without being too complicated.” “Inkpad is my favorite graphics app on any platform. “Inkpad is one of the killer apps for the iPad.” “It’s really beautiful to use with an iPad Pro.” “Works perfect on latest iPad Pro, Apple Pencil.” Some of the kind feedback received in emails and App Store reviews: If you’ve got an iPad Pro or the 2018 iPad, Inkpad works great with the Apple Pencil. If the interface is not coded this way, screen readers announce both the table-related information and the form-related information, which makes the interface extremely verbose and therefore extremely cumbersome for users to complete. Therefore, the best practice is to remove the table markup, either by using non-semantic elements such as instead of table elements, or by adding role="presentation" to table elements. However, functionally it isn’t a table it’s a form. The Likert question is presented visibly as a table. When testing with screen readers, we frequently experienced unexpected and inconsistent output with surveys created using these tools, which may be due to the quirky code. I’ll be exploring that code in detail in a presentation at the HighEdWeb conference on October 5 (see below for more details). As we studied the code behind their surveys, we often found ourselves completely puzzled as to why they had coded something the way they did. Both Qualtrics and Survey Monkey have quirky code, and screen readers are quirky in how they handle it.Then, they are, in a sense, reprimanded for breaking rules they didn’t know existed. In a Qualtrics survey, users have no idea which fields are required until they’ve submitted the form. There are many possible methods for communicating this information, the best being the HTML required attribute, which is well-supported by browsers and assistive technologies. It’s the only tool we tested that doesn’t at least place an asterisk (*) next to required fields. Qualtrics doesn’t seem to indicate whether fields are required (neither in the code nor in the user interface). If the user doesn’t learn about their mistake until after they’ve submitted the form, it can be challenging for them to (a) figure out what they did wrong, and (b) find their way back to the field that requires fixing. Client-side error checking is preferred since it provides immediate feedback if the user skips a required field or enters an invalid response. If WebQ, Qualtrics, or Survey Monkey have this capability, it wasn’t apparent when we were creating the test surveys. Google Forms and Microsoft Office Forms seem to be the only tools tested that do client-side error checking.Google and Microsoft produce the most accessible survey forms of the tools tested, although the amount of information provided to screen reader users may in fact be excessive (the forms became extremely verbose). (ARIA stands for “Accessible Rich Internet Applications” for more on its role in web accessibility, see Using ARIA for Web Applications). Both Google Forms and Microsoft Office Forms have highly sophisticated forms that use ARIA extensively for making complex relationships between a form field’s parts accessible to screen reader users. The following is a high-level summary of what we found: We also inspected the HTML code to see whether the code conformed to HTML standards and accessibility best practices, and we checked for other accessibility issues such as color contrast. We tested each form by attempting to complete it with the keyboard alone (no mouse), then Hadi Rangin, a full-time screen reader user, tested each form with both JAWS and NVDA (Windows screen readers). Users must select one item in each row (see screenshot below). A grid of Likert-scale questions, where each row contains the item to be rated, and each column contains a radio button on which to rate that item (i.e., “Excellent”, “Good”, “Neutral”, “Bad”, “Horrible”).For both of these questions, users must select at least one response. Two multiple-choice questions, one with one possible answer (radio buttons) and another with multiple possible answers (checkboxes).A date field of “Your birthdate,” with validation where available.Another simple text field of “Your email,” with validation where available. The latter would require using of the aria-describedby attribute. In order to be accessible to screen reader users, both the label and help text need to be explicitly associated with the input field. A simple text field of “Your name,” with supplemental instructions in addition to the label (“Enter your full name ).With each survey tool, we created a test survey that included the following form fields: To be sure we could confidently answer this question, the ATS IT Accessibility Team recently conducted a review of the following five tools, listed alphabetically: Here in UW-IT Accessible Technology Services (ATS), we are frequently asked which of the online survey tools that are commonly used at the UW produces the most accessible survey forms. Troy CS, MacHugh DE, Bailey JF, Magee DA, Loftus RT, Cunningham P, Chamberlain AT, Unsurprisingly, Rydia’s work has been positively received in the past, with her approach to maps being adopted in a number of mainland regions.Īs well as the 2013/2014 maps and this new iteration that would add grace to any SLRR station, Rydia has also produced maps for some private region transport network, such as the Second Norway system (also perhaps in need of a little TLC, depending on what eventually happens to that estate – see here and here for news). Rydia’s 2014 map of the Second Norway system Stops for the likes of airports are provided, together with crossover stations. Such are the number of lines and routes in Heterocera alone, that having a map makes a lot of sense, and the version Rydia has produced is an extensive, impressive, polished, professional, and informative piece of work.Īs with a physical world railway map, the various lines are colour-coded, and the map includes all the major routes associated with the SLRR, form the SLRR Main Line through to the likes of the old WARR line, the the Okemo, Nakiska, and Southern Railway (ONSR), the Great Second Life Railway (GSLR), as well as the smaller and the more metropolitan routes such as the Northern Branch or the East River City Metro, the Bay City Trolleys and the current routes available in Bellisseria. Click the map above to go to the full-size version which you can examine on-line or right-click and download.ĭespite its age and need of upgrade or overhaul, the SLRR has remained popular over the years and can offer a unique way of seeing Second Life mainland. The line opened in stages, first from Neumoegen to Electra, then east to Hera and west to Elpenor, before eventually closing in 2013, although I understand a part of it reopened in 2019. WARR is the West Atoll Railroad, an electric railway line founded by Hilto Meridoc in 2010 and operating in southern Heterocera Mainland. The Virtual Railway Consortium distributed my previous maps, but they don’t appear to be quite as active now. I don’t have a formal means of distributing the maps, except through the various groups. I made my first SLRR railway maps in 2013 / 2014. It’s what keeps me exploring! Mostly it stems from the time the WARR started building in front of the Burns freebie warehouse. Rydia is a keen SL rail-roader, something she noted to me as we chatted about the map. She recently sent me her most recent map charting the major Linden-supplied train routes across and around Heterocera, Sansar and Bellisseria – and it is an impressive piece. Not only is Rydia the creator of the sci-fi themed Aoshima, a homestead region Caitlyn and I enjoyed visiting in February (see: Beaming in to Aoshima in Second Life), she is a SLRR enthusiast, and something of a cartographer. However, finding your way around the network can be a tad confusing, so enter 由里子 (Rydia Lacombe). Much as anyone can operate a car on the roads in Second Life, any Resident may use this public facility for any purpose consistent with the Second Life Community Standards/TOS (and at times the Lab has provided automated rail services). The Second Life Railroad network is one of the major features of Second Life mainland – notably Heterocera – with lines also to be found on south and east Sansar and on Bellisseria, with number smaller (and private) lines also to be found across Second Life (such as the system in Second Norway). Okay okay, i know it's literally her theme but for the event played in felt unfiting. which i later realized its was for the release of the chapter It's for. Anyways when i when i finished the chapter, i went to listen to song and cried.Īlice- Everything about Alice was that said in her bond story. She is a pure character in such a F*cked world. Her bond story make sure you know that, it "Beat me down until I was left shaking". I was left emotionally drained honestly. lolĭorothy- She is the true goddess of victory, someone who fought for humanity and NIKKE alike. She did everything thing she could to save humanity and her unit (including her) was betrayed everything she love and believed in. though her unit accepted there fate and moved on. she was left like this. Modernia- if you played the game for at least 30mins you understand why exactly she is precious. but when she appears in story and in the event I'm pretty every fan (including me) and their mother was extremely excited. because of modernia, the least favorite NIKKE song meaning changed and it became one of my most favorite. SO nikke was hit hard in the beginning due to bugs and censorship. to be honest i never really noticed the censorship until Christmas rupee, which i was extremely upset (not twitter rage mad, just very saddened. might i add ) though I hung on.Īs the game goes through on the game became more loose with the costumes and I kinda forgot about censorship. And then. I'll start with NIKKE. (small spoilers on a event) ) this is NOT a review, this just sharing thought Lately I've been finding games with rough or terrible start seem to a dear place in my heart. whether it's server issue or bugs or censored on release (ps i really hate censorship, so don't get the wrong idea. For the last few days i been thinking about this but. Sometimes both factors can coincide.įortunately in every patch they've released they have worked on functionality, added features, made improvements, and also added fun things as well. There's responsibility on the development/business side that is seeking profits and willing to sacrifice initial quality, there's also pressure from consumers to get games out quickly and inexpensively. My point was, there's a reason we are where we are in terms of game development and sending out games before they're ready. More people are playing now and HD, gameranger, and Voobly are still putting up good numbers. DE didn't really split the playerbase, it simply expanded it. It doesn't matter if DE was 100% flawless in every way, the playerbase was going to be "split" in some sense, because some people just don't want to spend money on a new version or have a really old computer, or they just don't like change. It's possible to affect change while still being overall positive about the game. I don't understand why you think in order for me to want change or improvements I have to wholeheartedly denounce DE and the devs and just trash them on forums. It's possible to simultaneously say "man I really like this game and am having fun" and say "there are bugs and issues with this game that I'm not happy with and would like fixed." It's not a dichotomy. You are way too sensitive and the fact that there's a contradicting opinion should not be considered "toxic". If you think my comments are toxic I don't know what to tell you. Just because they're profiting off of a game doesn't mean that it has to be an adversarial transaction. They don't have to a non-profit in order for me to be "thankful". It's awesome that people in this community are dedicated enough to keep the game going and that eventually led to a re-ignition of interest from Microsoft in the game. I'm not going to claim to be an expert on the whole handling of closing the Zone, but clearly they saw that it wasn't financially benefiting them and there wasn't enough interest to keep it going. What a bizarre way of thinking and low expectations towards something that splits a community and is called the "Definitive Edition". I'm still amazed by your reasoning, that because it is 20E it should be any less than great. However everyone would have loved to pay 40E for a release that blows everything out of the park, unfortunately this is not the route that they took. I'm not amazed by the quality, but this is often played off as subjective and "something you will get used to".Ģ0E is a great price, I agree. And you should have higher standards if you see the potential. DE is only now approaching equal funcionallities as those of rivaling platforms. I don't care that they spent so much on fancy stuff that adds nothing to the gameplay, this only shows how wrong their priorities are. Most people in the community have bought this game 3-4-5 times over the course of their life and are very eager to support it. The fact that you want to blame the community is ridiculous, the people that kept this community alive and are 10x more knowledgeable on how the game should be. Currently even with its low price DE has already made its money multiple times over. They have not put in the right funding to minimize their risk. How can any aoe2 game turn into a loss? HD was a total cashcow with which they could have funded DE all by itself, needless to say it was definitely an indication of how DE sales would be. Total nonsense, I know from personal conversation with the biz dev that they lowered the price because the product was not to their expectations. Do this carefully so as not to cut into the paint finish. Finally, use a sharp razor knife or blade to lightly cut the door openings. Spraying the pre-mask after it has been squeegeed will allow pre-mask adhesive to release and become easier to remove. Wait 15 minutes and remove the pre-mask pulling back at a sharp angle to avoid lifting the kit. You should be able to lift (snap) it up again, and re-tension it as needed. Squeegee graphic starting from the center of stripe out to each end (see instructions provided) As you squeegee the kit, you might start to bunch up the kit. If need be the graphic can be lifted using the wet method to reposition and realign. Remove backing paper from graphic then lightly spray adhesive side of vinyl as well surface of vehicle to which the stripe will be applied (for larger graphics a second person may be needed!) Place the graphic on surface aligning each corner with the masking tape reference points, make sure graphic is flat free of wrinkles and in its attended location. Once you are satisfied with the Dry-Fit location, use small pieces of masking tape applied to vehicle surface at the outside corners of your graphic leaving a border / crop mark reference points. This process is the easiest for first time installers. this process will allow you to see where the kit will be applied. ĭry-Fit your graphic by taping (masking tape) it in the specified location (do not remove backing paper on back side of graphic). Make sure your vehicle and your hands are clean and free of any wax, oil, road tar, hair, lint, dust or any other debris that can cause imperfections seen through the vinyl. Those new enemies, secrets and boss fights make for some surprises that are sure to delight. Adding two additional levels, a couple of new boss fights, and a smattering of additional features, this DLC melds seamlessly into a typical run at the game. With Castlevania's iconic aesthetic to back it up, Dead Cells' gameplay climbs to an even higher bar of quality and fun. It's easy to sink into gaming nirvana as you careen through its procedurally-generated levels, decimating everything on your way to the next objective. Foot-tapping remixes of iconic tracks, nostalgic implementations of the series' iconography and weapons, pulse-pounding recreations of memorable boss fights and charming nods to long-running jokes within the fandom meld perfectly into Dead Cells' gripping gameplay loop and cheeky sense of humor.ĭead Cells is flow-state gaming at its finest with options to suit nearly every playstyle. Imitators and devotees have rushed to fill the void, resulting in some of the most iconic games of the last decade, but in partnering with Konami, Motion Twin went the extra mile by allowing players to revisit Dracula's castle. But Konami hasn't released a new game in the series for nearly 10 years. It's especially fitting since Castlevania laid the foundation for Dead Cells' fast-paced action all the way back in 1986. In its Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania DLC, developer Motion Twin proves yet again that it's in a league of its own when it comes to crossovers. The most notable offender among multiple phoned-in performances comes from Chuck Norris, whose lines actually sound like they were delivered through a cell phone.įight classic Castlevania bosses in Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox, Unfortunately, there's no lemonade to be made with these lemons. With its camera regularly planted on cleavage, and profane writing that would've been in poor taste even a decade ago, its cast is admittedly not given much to work with. It tries to lean on its star-studded cast to deliver it from mediocrity. While there are technically more missions available, most of them bleed together, creating a pervasive sameyness that never really let up after my dozen-or-so hours with the game.Ĭrime Boss' gameplay and general structure aren't inherently bad, they're just lacking the same teeth players can expect from other crime games. Players will go on various missions ranging from hits, fighting rival gangs over turf, stealing valuables and contraband from rival gangs, and robbing strip malls. Its single-player roguelike mode sees the player assume the role of Michael Madsen's character, Travis Baker, as he seeks to rule the criminal underworld of Rockay City, a fictionalized version of Miami. Even if it provided a fun gameplay loop in its main mode, this game would be a difficult sell. Reluctant, flat performances from A-listers like Michael Madsen and Michael Rooker, Danny Glover and Danny Trejo, Chuck Norris, Kim Basinger and Vanilla Ice dress shoddy, sometimes offensive dialogue in an unflattering, low-effort sheen that lacks even the most basic charm that average B-movies could fall back on. It's out on PC but will release on PS5, PS4 and Xbox later this year.Ĭrime Boss: Rockay City feels like a joke that I'm not in on. I got through most of the game with my wife, who enjoyed Cheshire's pure destructive force, while I played support as Cereza.Ĭrime Boss: Rockay City features a stacked cast of TV & film stars, including Chuck Norris. You can always just hand a Joy-Con to a buddy, and suddenly you're playing an (unofficial) co-op game, where the challenge isn't hand-eye coordination, but rather verbal communication. It can feel like the schoolyard challenge to rub your tummy and pat your head at once. Where Brothers used the dual-character format to deliver a wrenching story, Cereza and the Lost Demon uses it to tickle your brain and vex your fingers. The control scheme resembles 2013's Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, only more fluid, even arcade-y. That's up to Cheshire, who can leap into action as a giant cat-monster, ready to tear into enemies and smash through obstacles like thorns and rocks. Cereza can bind enemies and activate magical flowers, mushrooms, and the like. Push the right to move Cheshire, a demon reluctantly possessing Cereza's beloved cat doll. Push the left joystick to move Cereza (AKA, kid Bayonetta). But here's what's really audacious: you'll spend much of the game controlling two characters, independently, with one controller. You can make the most amazing catfish, but without the sides, your meal is not complete! Using seafood with a mild flavor provides a great opportunity to get creative with your sides. A simple drizzle from lemon wedges is also perfect. If you’re looking for dipping sauces, a tartar sauce, hot sauce, or remoulade would be a tasty addition. Tacos, po’ boy sandwiches, or a crispy Southern fried catfish fillet plated alongside hush puppies and greens are just some of the many ways it can be enjoyed.
